Youth Volunteer Event:
At Asian Health and Service Center (AHSC), our mission is to be the bridge between Asian and American cultures and build a harmonious community. We are seeking youth artists interested in public health to co-create tobacco prevention campaign messages and artwork and support our mission to serve the Asian community better.
AHSC is hosting a volunteer event and encouraging 9th-12th graders of Asian descent in the Portland-Metropolitan area to attend this exciting volunteer opportunity. This event aims to engage youth to learn more about commercial tobacco and develop a commercial tobacco prevention campaign. Participants will learn to work in teams, make new friends, build self-confidence, public speaking, and leadership skills, and show off their artistic ability.
This will occur on Friday, June 23rd, from 9 AM to 3 PM at 9035 SE Foster Rd, Portland, OR 97266. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Please have a parent or guardian fill out this Google Form to sign up for the event. The Google Form will close on Thursday, June 8th, at 5 PM or when it is full
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Contact Theresa Nguyen at or (503) 772-5921.
Asian Health & Service Center is launching a Community Tobacco and Nicotine Survey as our health education service for Health Equity Commercial Tobacco Prevention program.
(***Survey closes on May 12th at 5pm***)
We aim to learn more about the values and beliefs of tobacco use and health concerns among Asian community in tri-counties. The survey will help us understand more of community needs and provide better programs and services to our clients.
Please share this survey with those in your organization and others like your family and friends. Here is the link to the survey: Click Here
This survey is intended for people aged 14 years and older and should take at most 10-15 minutes to complete. All information collected including your personal identification will be kept anonymous and not associated with your answers. The survey is open until mid-May.
The survey was prepared by Oregon Values and Belief Center. The program was granted from Oregon Health Authority.
Thank you for your participation. Your contribution to this important project is much appreciated.
